The General Superintendent of Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, Reverend David Wells, has paid a courtesy call on former President John Dramani Mahama in Accra.
Reverend Wells, also the Vice Chairman of the World Pentecostal Fellowship, was accompanied by Rev. Dr Stephen Yenusom Wengam, General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church Ghana, and some members of the executive council of the Church.
During the visit, Reverend Wells and John Mahama discussed matters relating to the church's progress and the country's spiritual growth. The former president, an active and well-known member of the Assemblies of God Church, also talked about Ghana’s thriving democracy and how it can be sustained.
Reverend Wells is currently in Ghana as the Speaker for the Rebuild Conference hosted by the Assemblies of God Church Ghana for pastors and key leaders.
The visit by Reverend Wells and his team is seen as a testament to the strong relationship between the church and the former president and a demonstration of the church’s commitment to the spiritual growth and development of Ghana.
