NDC calls out Ghanaians against Electoral Commission.

2024-09-11

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a nationwide demonstration against the Electoral Commission (EC) on September 17.

According to NDC flag bearer John Dramani Mahama and National Chairman Johnson Asiedu-Nketia, the demonstration is in response to the Commission’s intransigence and refusal to allow a forensic audit of the voter register.

After submitting the party’s presidential nomination forms to the EC, Hon. Asiedu Nketia told journalists that the demonstration would occur in all sixteen regions, with the national event in Accra.

According to President Mahama, the call for a forensic audit of the voter register is not a partisan NDC one but a call supported by many well-meaning Ghanaians eagerly expecting a peaceful, free, fair election.
